IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) Training Program
IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) Training Program
Module 1 (Basic)
Understanding of the indications, risks, limitations and complications of basic endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.
Standard selective deep cannulation, diagnostic of the biliary and/or pancreatic duct. Sample collection. Biliary and pancreatic sphincterotomy. Sphincteroplasty and dilatations.
Extraction of stones up to 15 mm. Placement of prosthesis for fistulas or distal tumors. Expertise in the different biomedical devices and/or accessories involved in these techniques.
Learning of skills and abilities in basic retrograde cholangiopancreatography within a theoretical framework provided by the instructors.
Module 2 (Advanced)
Understanding of the indications, risks, limitations and complications of advanced endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.
Advanced selective deep cannulation (pre-cutting, infundibolotomy, etc.). Advanced diagnosis in Billroth II. Minor papilla cannulation.
Treatment of stones larger than 15 mm. Mechanical lithotripsy. Prosthesis placement in hilar tumors and benign biliary stenosis.
Ampulectomy. Knowledge of the different biomedical devices and/or accessories involved in these techniques.
Learning of skills and abilities for the performance of advanced retrograde cholangiopancreatography within a theoretical framework provided by the instructors.
Module 3 (Tertiary)
Understanding of the indications, risks, limitations and complications of tertiary endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.
Manometry, Whipple, Roux-en-Y. Therapeutics in Billroth II. Intrahepatic and pancreatic stone therapy, pre-cutting techniques and all pancreatic therapeutics (including pseudocyst drainage and/or endoscopic necrosectomy).
Intraductal endoscopy (diagnostic cholangioscopy, diagnostic pancreatoscopy, etc). Knowledge of the different biomedical devices and/or accessories involved in these techniques.
Learning of skills and abilities for the performance of tertiary retrograde cholangiopancreatography within a theoretical framework provided by the instructors.
Development of clinical research studies of new techniques, technological innovation and/or new applications of existing ones in Biliary Tract and Pancreatic Pathology.
